The author of Çré Caitanya-Caritämåta. He received the darçana of Nityänanda Prabhu in a dream and was ordered by Him to go to Våndävana. At the repeated request of the Vaiñëavas, and after obtaining the blessings of the Madana-Gopäla Deity, he accepted the task of writing the biography of Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu. He also wrote Govinda-lélämåta, a description of Rädhä and Kåñëa's eight-fold daily pastimes, and a commentary known as Säraìga-raìgadä on Bilvamaìgala Öhäkura's famous book, Kåñëakarëämåta.
